Discover Saigon after dark through the flavours, neighbourhoods and lively street scenes that define the city on our Saigon Street Food Vespa Tour
Vietnamese cuisine is celebrated around the world for dishes such as phở , bánh mì and lemongrass-grilled pork—but the city’s real culinary story stretches far beyond its most famous recipes. Some of Saigon’s best food is served at humble family-run eateries, traditional cafés and neighbourhood stalls hidden away from the main tourist streets.
Riding pillion behind an experienced driver, you will travel through downtown boulevards, atmospheric backstreets and local districts while stopping at carefully selected venues. Taste a generous variety of traditional dishes and lesser-known specialities, enjoy refreshing drinks and local beer, and experience the city from a local perspective.

Itinerary
Saigon by Night
Begin with an exciting ride through downtown Ho Chi Minh City as its streets come alive with lights, traffic and evening activity.
Pass some of the city’s best-known landmarks and lively neighbourhoods while your guide introduces Saigon’s history, architecture and nightlife. The route may include both elegant central boulevards and smaller streets where local residents gather after work.
Welcome Drink at a Local Café
Your first stop is a local-style café where you can enjoy a welcome drink and settle into the rhythm of the evening.
Watch daily life unfold from a neighbourhood perspective as your guide introduces Saigon’s distinctive café culture and explains how eating, drinking and socialising are closely connected in Vietnamese life.
Traditional Vietnamese Flavours
Continue by Vespa to a carefully selected local venue for the first food experience of the night.
The menu changes according to the season and availability, but may feature familiar Vietnamese favourites such as:
- Phở – Vietnamese noodle soup
- Bánh mì – Vietnamese baguette with savoury fillings
- Lemongrass-grilled pork
- Fresh or fried spring rolls
- Rice and noodle specialities
- Regional dishes from different parts of Vietnam
Your guide will explain the ingredients, preparation methods and cultural background behind the dishes.
Backstreet Food Adventure
Leave the main tourist areas behind and travel deeper into Saigon’s local neighbourhoods. Ride through narrow alleys, residential districts and bustling streets filled with small eateries and family-run businesses.
These areas reveal how Saigon residents genuinely eat and socialise. Instead of experiencing everything at one restaurant, you will visit different venues, with each stop adding another flavour and story to the evening.
Lesser-Known Local Specialities
Taste dishes that many visitors would be unlikely to discover independently. These may include regional recipes, traditional snacks, grilled specialities, seafood or seasonal favourites.
Our selected menu balances well-known Vietnamese food with more adventurous local flavours. Guests are encouraged to try something new, but participation in individual tastings is always optional.
Local Beer and Evening Atmosphere
Enjoy a local beer or non-alcoholic alternative at one of the evening stops. Relax with your guide and fellow travellers while experiencing the easy-going social atmosphere of Saigon after dark.
Vietnamese Dessert
Complete your culinary journey with a traditional dessert, sweet snack or refreshing local speciality. It is the perfect final taste after an evening of savoury dishes and bustling city exploration.
At the end of the experience, your Vespa team will return you safely to your hotel or the agreed drop-off location in central Ho Chi Minh City.
Food and Drinks
The tour includes a generous variety of tastings across several venues. The exact menu may change according to seasonal ingredients, venue availability and local conditions.
Possible tastings may include:
- Vietnamese noodle dishes
- Bánh mì
- Lemongrass-grilled meat
- Vietnamese pancakes or savoury cakes
- Spring rolls
- Rice or noodle specialities
- Grilled dishes

Do I need any riding experience?
No. You ride as a passenger behind one of our professional, experienced drivers — just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Where does the tour start and end?
We pick you up free of charge anywhere within 3 km of the city centre, and drop you off there too — pick-up and drop-off can be two different places.
Do you provide helmets and rain gear?
Yes. Helmets are provided, and on wet days we hand out two-piece raincoats and stop at covered places along the way.
Can I bring children?
Yes — you can include children (2–11) and infants (under 2) in your booking. We confirm their prices when we reply to your request.
Can I change my tour date?
Date changes are free with at least 24 hours' notice. Changes made within 24 hours of the tour are charged 30% of the tour price.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 24 hours ahead and we charge no cancellation fee (your bank or PayPal may keep a transaction fee of about 5%). Cancellations within 24 hours are charged in full. Refunds take 7–14 working days.
What if the weather turns bad?
Light rain doesn't stop us. If severe weather forces us to cancel, you can move to another date free of charge or get a 100% refund of the tour price, less bank fees.
Do you offer travel insurance?
Travel insurance is optional. We can arrange PTI cover for about US$3.50 per person per day.
Can you arrange a private tour for a larger group?
Yes. We run private tours and tours for larger groups, and can tailor the itinerary to you — tell us what you have in mind in the booking form or on WhatsApp.
