See all toursExperience Hanoi’s countryside like a true adventurer — on the back of a Vintage Vespa. This half-day ride takes you off the beaten path, weaving through small roads and along the Red River dike toward the historic Bat Trang.
Pottery Village, a cultural hub that has thrived for more than 700 years.
With your local driver-guide, you’ll explore rustic farms, meet villagers, and dive into the rich tradition of Vietnamese ceramics. At the pottery workshop, try making your own bowl or teacup — a one-of-a-kind souvenir you craft yourself.
Leave behind the busy streets of Hanoi and begin your countryside adventure on the back of a legendary Vintage Vespa. Ride along the scenic Red River dike roads where the atmosphere quickly changes from urban energy to peaceful rural landscapes.
Feel the fresh countryside breeze as you pass banana plantations, guava gardens, vegetable farms, flower fields, and quiet villages rarely visited by tourists. Along the route, guests will witness a completely different side of Hanoi — one where farmers still work the land, locals gather at small roadside tea stalls, and traditional village life continues at a slower pace.
Your guide will stop at beautiful viewpoints and hidden local spots for photos, short walks, and cultural insights while sharing stories about life along the Red River and the agricultural traditions that have supported Hanoi for generations.
Arrive at the famous Bat Trang Ceramic Village — one of Vietnam’s oldest and most respected traditional craft villages with a ceramic history dating back more than 700 years.
Walk through narrow ancient alleyways lined with old brick houses, local family workshops, ceramic stores, and traditional kilns that reflect centuries of craftsmanship and village culture.
Guests will visit local homes and pottery workshops to learn how Bat Trang ceramics are created using techniques passed down through generations. Discover the history of the village, the importance of ceramics in Vietnamese daily life, and how Bat Trang became one of the cultural symbols of the Red River Delta.
The atmosphere here is both lively and nostalgic — where old traditions continue to survive alongside modern creativity and design.
The experience continues with a fun and interactive pottery workshop led by local artisans.
Guests will have the opportunity to work directly with clay on a traditional pottery wheel while learning the basic techniques of shaping, spinning, decorating, and creating ceramic products by hand.
Under the guidance of experienced craftsmen, create your own small ceramic piece such as a bowl, cup, or teacup — a unique handmade souvenir to remember your journey to Bat Trang Village.
This hands-on activity offers not only a creative experience but also a deeper appreciation for the patience, skill, and artistry behind Vietnam’s traditional ceramic culture.
